DIRECTIONS (Qs. 1- 5): Each of the questions below consists of a question and two statements numbered I and II given below it. You have to decide whether the data provided in the statements are sufficient to answer the questions. Read both the statements and:

 

Give answer (a) if the data in statement I alone are sufficient to answer the question, while the data in statement II alone are not sufficient to answer the question.

 

Give answer (b) if the data in statement II alone are sufficient to answer the question, while the data in statement I alone are not sufficient to answer the question.

 

Give answer (c) if the data either in statement I alone or in statement

II alone in sufficient to answer the question.

 

Give answer (d) if the data even in both the statements I and II together are not sufficient to answer the question.

 

Give answer (e) if the data in both the statements I and II together are necessary to answer the question.

  1. What is the two times of height of a triangle?

It is a right-angled triangle.

The area of the triangle is 5 times its base.

 

2.How much time will SURESH take to walk a km distance?

The ratio of the speeds at which SURESH and SUSHMA walk is 5:6.

The average walking speed of SURESH and SUSHMA is known.

 

3.Is a two-digit integer ‘Y’ divisible by 12?

When ‘Y’ is divided by 5, the remainder is 2.

When ‘Y’ is divided by 3, the remainder is 1.

 

4.Is the average of M, N and P equal to N?

N – M = P – N

M, N and P are positive integers.

 

5.What is the monthly income of RITU?

Total monthly income of RITU and SOM is ` 27000, which is 150% of their total monthly expenditure.

The ratio of their monthly expenditures is 5: 4

 

DIRECTIONS (Qs. 6-10) : Each of the question below consists of a question and two statements marked A and B given below it. You have to decide whether the data provided in the statements are sufficient to answer the question. Read both the statements and give answer.

Age of the teacher is as many years as the number of boys.

Average age increased by 2 year, if the teachers age is also included.

 

 

7.What is the average monthly income of RAHUL if he saves ` 85000 during a year?

The average monthly expenditure for the first 4 months is ` 28000.

The average monthly expenditure for the next 8 months is ` 21500.

 

8.What is the salary of Q, in a group M,N,P,Q,R,S whose average salary is ` 45000?

Total salaries of M and R is ` 89000.

Total salaries of N and P is ` 95100.

 

9.What is the temperature on Thursday of MONTH JULY 2018?

Average temperature for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday is 35°C.

Average temperature for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday is 39°C.

 

10.The average of 12 numbers is 28. Find the new average when

The average of first 10 numbers is 21.

Each number is multiplied by 7.
