The much awaited notification for WBCS 2019 has been finally released by the Public Service Commission, West Bengal (PSCWB). As expected the prelim exam is scheduled to be conducted on January 20th 2019. The result of prelim will be declared in the month of March 2019, however, the dates of mains exam as well as its result are yet to be revealed. There are different groups in recruitment of such examination based on choice and merit of scored number. These are Group A, Group B ,Group C and Group D. The WBCS (Exe) officers belong to Group A . In general, As per record of the WBPSC the candidates with higher scores opt for WBCS (Exe), WBPS and some allied services as their first choice due to less strenuous nature of the service and the lure of metro posting. Only WBCS (EXE ) cadre is considered to be the State Civil Service by UPSC for direct promotion to IAS.

The eligibility criteria of WBCS 2019 is prescribed by Public Service Commission, West Bengal. WBCS eligibility criteria 2019 includes age limit, educational qualification, etc. In order to become eligible for WBCS 2019, candidates must fulfil the eligibility conditions mandated by the Commission.

WBCS 2019 prelims exam will be held in 20 exam districts of West Bengal. Candidates will be allotted exam centres as per preferences provided while filling the application form.
