CTET 2020 Online Application:This examination is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) every year to recruit teachers in schools across the nation. CBSE in a press release has mentioned that detailed Information Bulletin containing details of examination, syllabus, eligibility criteria, fees and all other details will be available on CTET website w.e.f. 24th Jan 2020 and the Online Application will also start from 24th Jan 2020. CTET Eligibility Criteria 2020

The eligibility criteria for CTET 2020 exam varies for Primary and Elementry level teachers. Check out below:

Minimum Eligibility Criteria for Primary Level Teachers (Classes I-V)

Must have passed Senior Secondary Exam or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and must have passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education/ 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)/2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)* OR
Secondary exam or it’s equivalent with at least 45% marks. Must have passed or appeared in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR
Graduation or its equivalent and must have also passed a two-year Diploma or appearing in the final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria for Elementary level Teacher (Classes VI-VIII)

Minimum Graduation or its equivalent and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR
Graduation or it’s equivalent with at least 50% marks. And also, passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR
Graduation or its equivalent must be passed with at least 45% marks and also passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure). OR
Senior Secondary exam or it’s equivalent must be passed with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
Graduation or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year B.Ed. (Special Education).
