India Ranked 95th in 129 Countries in New Gender Equality Index.

India was ranked 95^th among 129 countries in new SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) Gender equality Index with 56.2 scores. The gender gap Index of the World Economic Forum had ranked India with 108.

14th OIC Summit held in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

14^th Islamic Summit organized by organization of Islamic Corporation (OIC) Summit was held in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. It was hosted by Saudi Arabia King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud. The Summit, titled as “Mecca Summit : Together for the Future”. OIC appointed Youset Aldobeay as its special envoy for J & K.

CAG Rajiv Mehrishi elected as external auditor of WHO

The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India, Rajiv Mehrishi to elected as external auditor of the World Health Organization (WHO) for four years from 2020 to 2023. He takes the charge from the Supreme Audit Institution of Philippines.

He is currently on the Board of Auditors of UN and Vice Chairman of the UN Panel of External Auditors (UNPEA).

Arun Kumar Sahu Appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.

The Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. Of India announced the appointment of Arun Kumar Sahu as next High Commissioner of India to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. He is currently serving as Deputy High Commissioner in the High Commission of India, Ottawa.

Rajasthan government increases financial and given to girls under Aapki Beti Scheme.

Rajasthan govt. Increased the financial assistance given to School girls under the “Aapki Beti” scheme and ex-gratia payment to the families of polling personnel who die during election Duty.

About Aapki Beti Scheme

Under the Aapki Beti Scheme, girls living under the BPL and whose mother or father or both have died to get annual financial assistance in the state.

The amount has been increased to 2100 from Rs. 1100 for the girls studying in class 1 to 8 and for the girls in class 9 to 12, the financial aid has been increased to Rs. 2500 from Rs. 1500.

Telangana Govt. enhanced Rythu Bandhu Scheme.

Telangana Govt. released Rs. 6900 crore for the Rythu Bandhu Scheme for Kharif Season.

The govt. enhanced the Rythu Bandhu Scheme Rs. 4000 to Rs. 5000 per acre and decided to release funds in the view of ensuing Kharif Season.

In a first, a 25 year old engineering graduate from Odisha has become the Youngest member of Parliament to the 17^th Lok Sabha.

Indian Oil, BPCL and HPCL Ink Joint venture for Kandla – Gorakhpur LPG Pipeline Project.

Indian Oil, BPCL and HPCL had signed a joint venture in New Delhi for Kandla – Gorakhpur LPG Pipeline Project. They will be laying the world’s longest LPG Pipeline from Kandla (Gujarat) to Gorakhpur (UP).
