Nepal celebrates 5th International Day of Yoga. Government of Nepal planned to organize a yoga program in Kathmandu to celebrate the International Day of Yoga. International Day of Yoga aims to raise awareness worldwide about the benefits of practicing yoga.
Asian Development Bank (ADB) in its Asian Development Outlook (ADO) stated that Bangladesh emerged as the fastest growing economy among the 45 countries of the Asia-Pacific region.In 2018-19, Bangladesh registered a growth rate of 7.9%. it is the highest rate since 1974.
The Maharashtra Government has decided to launch the Chief Minister’s Employment Generation Programme for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises(MSMEs), which will create 10 lakh jobs in the next five years. The flagship programme of the Industries Department will have 30% reservation for women entrepreneurs. This scheme is for promoting entrepeneurship and address umemployment issues.
For the first time in Bangladesh, iron ore mine has been discovered at Isabpur village in Dinajpur. According to the Geological Survey of Bangladesh, a 400- foot thick iron layer was found 1750 feet beneath the surface stretched over an area of6-10 square kilometres.
National Health Authority (NHA) and ICICI Foundation for Inclusive Growth signed a Memorandum Understanding (MoU) to train 15,000 state and district personnel. They are trained for Pradhan Mantri Arogya Mitra scheme. They are to provide the delivery of health services under Ayushman Bharat Scheme for a period of one year. The main aim is to check the capacity building of health personnel.

The Maharashtra Government has decided to launch a pilot project providing smoke-free environment in the kitchen for women. The project named “Chullah(wood-fired stove) free and smoke free Maharashtra”, will target the woman who have not benefited under the Ujjawala or any other LPG distribution scheme.
