1. coerce (verb) – मजबूर करना
Pronunciation: kau-us
Meaning: persuade (an unwilling person) to do something by using force or threats
Synonyms: pressure, pressurize
Antonym: persuade
Usage: Albert was coerced into giving statement against Tom.

2. itinerant (adjective, noun) – भ्रमणकारी
Pronunciation: iti-n(u)r(u)nt / aiti-n(u)r(u)nt
Meaning: travelling from place to place; a person who travels from place to place
Synonyms: travelling, peripatetic, wandering; traveller, wanderer, wayfarer
Antonym: sedentary
Usage:

  • The documentary presents the life of an itinerant man. (adjective)
  • The movie presents a character, John, who is a mysterious itinerant. (noun)

3. hauteur (noun)  – अभिमान, घमंड
Pronunciation: ow-tuh
Meaning: the appearance or quality of being arrogantly superior
Synonyms: haughtiness, arrogance, pride, conceit
Antonym: modesty
Usage: Although my doctor is an intelligent man, his hauteur sometimes makes me feel inadequate.

Meaning: (of a material or membrane) allowing liquids or gases to pass through it

Meaning: a group of advisers, assistants, or others accompanying an important person

Usage: The arrogant queen insisted that members of her retinue never make eye contact with her.

8. dote (verb, noun) – बहुत चाहना

Meaning: be extremely and uncritically fond of; a sweet or adorable person

Usage:

Pronunciation: ri-kum-b(u)nt
Meaning: (especially of a person) lying down
Synonyms: lying, flat, horizontal
Antonyms: erect, standing, upright
Usage: After drinking four glasses beer, my father was recumbent in his favorite chair.
