1. Absolve (noun) –

  • Meaning : The best of its kind or class; To remove from suspicion or guilt
  • Synonyms: acquit, exonerate, free, vindicate, discharge, exculpate
  • Antonyms: reprimand, rebuke, chide, scold, criticise, criticize, berate, admonish, chastise, indict
  • Usage: So I hereby absolve myself of guilt should he ever read this.

2.Infinitesimal (Adj)­

  • Meaning: incalculably,  immeasurably minute ; observed
  • Synonyms: negligible, imperceptible, indiscernible
  • Antonyms: huge, enormous, large, astronomic
  • Usage: Let us conceive the zone in question to be divided into infinitesimal rings of equal area

3. Inscrutable (Adj)- 

  • Meaning: Having a covert or obscure meaning , impossible to  understand or interpret
  • Synonyms: opaque, unfathomable, impenetrable, obscure, abstruse, ambiguous, bafflling
  • Antonyms: clear, obvious, plain, accessible
  • Usage: Newspaper stories see the light of day for all sorts of strange and inscrutable reasons.

  • Meaning: If someone has got  the wrong end of the stick, they have misunderstood what someone has said to them.
  • Example: He must have gotten hold of the wrong end of the stick about something when I was talking to him earlier , because he has started acting really odd whenever I see him now.
