1. Clout (Noun)-

  • Definition: Influence or power, especially in politics or business
  • Synonyms: Influence, Power, Pull, Weight, Sway, Leverage
  • Antonyms: Helplessness, Impotence, llnpotency, Powerlessness, Weakness
  • Usage: The best forum to test political clout in a democracy is the legislature. 8)

2. Grapple –

  • Definition: Engage in a close fight or struggle without weapons; wrestle.
  • Synonyms: Wrestle, Struggle, Tussle; Brawl
  • Antonyms: Release, Relinquishment, abnegation, devotement, immolation
