1. pastime (noun) –

  • Meaning: an activity that someone does regularly for enjoyment rather than work; a hobby.
  • Synonyms: amusement, avocation, diversion, divertissement, distraction. Enthusiasm
  • Antonyms: tediousness, languor, ennui.
  • Usage: Since Independence, the load on this national pastime has exponentia increased.

2. lingering (verb)

  • Meaning: lasting for a long tune or slow to end.
  • Synonyms: niggling, gnawing, lasting, residual, protracted, persistent, prolonged.
  • Antonyms: short live, leave, intermittent
