1.Intrinsic (adjective)

  • Meaning:  belonging naturally; essential.
  • Synonym:  inherent, innate
  • Antonym:  extrinsic, acquired
  • Usage: The teacher asked to focus on developing the intrinsic value.

2.Abhorrence (noun)

  • Meaning:  a feeling of revulsion; disgusting loathing
  • Synonym: detestation, hatred
  • Antonym: admiration, delight
  • Usage:  He had a deep abhorrence towards their behavior.

3.Affluent (adjective)

  • Meaning: having a great deal of money; wealthy.
  • Synonym: prosperous, wealthy
  • Antonym: impoverished, poor
  • Usage: The exhibition has VIPs from affluent section of society.

4.Facsimile (noun)

  • Meaning: an exact copy, especially of written or printed material
  • Synonym: reproduction, photocopy
  • Antonym:  original
  • Usage: They found a facsimile of the manuscript.

5.Annihilate (verb)

  • Meaning: destroy utterly;
  • Synonym:  obliterate, destruction
  • Antonym: creation, establish

6.Anticipate (verb)

  • Meaning: regard as probable; expect or predict
  • Synonym: foresee, predict
  • Antonym: doubt, recollect

7.Arbitrary (adjective)

  • Meaning:  based on random choice or personal whim, rather than any reason or system.
  • Synonym: random, unpredictable
  • Antonym: organized, reasonable
  • Usage: The arbitrary decision taken needs to be revised before finalizing it.

8.Archaic (adjective)

  • Meaning: very old or old-fashioned.
  • Synonym: obsolete, out-of-date
  • Antonym: modern, in-vogue
  • Usage: The archaic use off language is replaced with new words.

9.Attribute (noun)

  • Meaning: a quality or feature regarded as a characteristic or inherent part of someone or something.
  • Synonym: trait, characteristic
  • Antonym: unusual, normalitys
  • Usage:  Being humble is a positive attribute.

10.Avarice (noun)

  • Meaning: extreme greed for material gain
  • Synonym: greed, cupidity
  • Antonym: generosity
  • Usage: His strong sense of avarice has destroyed him.
