  1. SUBJUGATE (Verb)
    Meaning: bring under domination or control, esp. by conquest.
    Synonyms: conquer, enslave
    Antonyms: lose, release
    Example: If you want to be an effective prison guard, you must learn how to subjugate the prisoners with a single glance.
  2. ADROIT (Adjective)
    Meaning: very skillful and quick in the way you think or move
    Synonyms: adept, artful
    Antonyms: clumsy, awkward
    Example: She became adroit at dealing with difficult questions.
  3. INTERMEDIARY (Noun)
    Meaning: a person who acts as a link between people in order to try and bring about an agreement; a mediator.
    Synonyms: broker, mediator, agent, interim
    Antonyms: protagonist, excessive, off-centre
    Usage: They were approached indirectly through an intermediary.
  4. INFRINGE (Verb)
    Meaning: actively break the terms of (a law, agreement, etc.).
    Synonyms: violate, breach, break, violation
    Antonyms: obey, comply, follow, observe
    Usage: He occasionally infringe the law by parking near a junction.
  5. WEED OUT (Phrasal Verb)
    Meaning: to remove (people or things that are not wanted) from a group

    Usage: We must weed out the yellow flowers among the onions as soon as possible.
  6. CONUNDRUM (Noun)
    Meaning: A difficult problem
    Synonym: quandary, a dilemma
    Antonym: proposition, solution
    Usage: Time will doubtless provide the answer to that conundrum.
  7. XENOPHOBIC (Adjective)
    Meaning: having or showing a dislike of or prejudice against people from other countries.
    Synonyms: racist, racialist, ethnocentric,
    Antonyms: bountiful, permissive, thoughtful, lenient.
    Usage: The French are proud and highly xenophobic when it comes to cooking.
  8. VEXATIOUS (Adjective)
    Meaning: causing or tending to cause annoyance, frustration, or worry.
    Synonym: annoying, vexing,
    Antonym: delightful, pleasing
    Usage: The man was a vexatious litigant who brought lawsuits before the court only to irritate the judge.
  9. INVIOLABLE (Adjective)
    Meaning: never to be broken, infringed, ignored or dishonored.
    Synonym: unchallengeable, unbreakable,
    Antonym: partial
    Usage: The school board was voting on adding rules which would be considered inviolable.
  10. OBSCENE (Adjective)
    Meaning: offending against moral principles; repugnant.
    Synonyms: scandalous, atrocious, outrageous
    Antonyms: clean, decent, gentle, magnificent
    Usage: If you keep using obscene language, you’re going to get in trouble at school.
  11. IDIOMS
    Hold your horses
    Meaning: Used in a context when you want to ask other person to be patient or slow down.
    Example: It’s not right to speak whatever you want. Hold your horses and listen to me.

    Cool your heels
    Meaning: Used in a context when you wait for something or someone for some long that it becomes annoying and irritable.
    Sentence: I spent two hours cooling my heels in the waiting room while the CEO was busy in the board meeting.

    Cut someone down to size
    Meaning: Used in a context when you break arrogance or pride of a person.
    Sentence: Sam broke his silence and he cut that arrogant guy down to size in no time.
