  1. PLAGUE (Verb)
    Meaning: to constantly bother or distress
    Synonyms: curse, epidemic
    Antonyms: advantage, good fortune
    Example: Jim likes to plague his younger sister by hiding her dolls.
  2. THRALL (Noun)
    Meaning: being under the control of another person
    Synonyms: servitude, slavery
    Antonyms: mastery, dominance
    Example: Domineering parents seem to devote complete thrall and spend numerous hours over their child’s activity in order for their child to achieve top success.
  3. OXYMORON (figures of speech)
    Meaning: two words used together that have, or seem to have, opposite meanings
    Synonyms: adumbration, allegory
    Antonyms: truth, honesty
    Example: Because sorrow is never appealing to me, I cannot understand the oxymoron, “sweet sorrow”.
  4. SPLENDID (Adjective)
    Meaning: excellent, or beautiful and impressive

  5. BACKSTOP (Noun)
    Meaning: an emergency precaution or last resort.

    Usage: You should make sure that you have a suitable backstop behind your target.
  6. OUTREACH (Noun)
    Meaning: to offer or give aid or service.
