  1. SALUBRIOUS (Adjective)
    Meaning: something that is good for you or is beneficial to mind or body.
    Synonyms: medicinal, tonic.
    Antonyms: unhealthy, insalubrious.
    Usage: Vegetables are salubrious foods which provide essential nutrients.
  2. GRISLY (Adjective)
    Meaning: causing horror or disgust.
    Synonyms: gruesome, ghastly, frightful, horrid.
    Antonyms: pleasant, attractive.
    Usage: Because the crime scene video was extremely grisly, the television station decided to not air the footage.
  3. ESOTERIC (Adjective)
    Meaning: known about or understood by very few people.
    Synonyms: abstruse, obscure, arcane.
    Antonyms: simple, familiar.
    Usage: Gerald was an eight-year-old genius who had esoteric interests much different from kids of a similar age.
  4. SPLURGE (Verb)
    Meaning: to spend extravagantly or ostentatiously.
    Synonyms: squander, fling, dissipate, disburse.
    Antonyms: accumulate, hoard, conserve, preserve.
    Usage: Should I splurge on the really nice camera or just buy one of the cheap models?
  5. REFRACTORY (Adjective)
    Meaning: stubborn or unmanageable.

    Synonym: supporter, upholder.
    Antonym: opponent.
    Usage: The protagonist was willing to give his life for the woman he loved.
  7. FLAWED (Adjective)
    Meaning: having or characterized by a fundamental weakness or imperfection.
    Synonym: unsound, defective.
    Antonym: sound.
    Usage: The only problem is that his research was flawed.
  8. JUVENILE (Adjective)
    Meaning: for or relating to young people.
    Synonym: young, teenage.
    Antonym: adult.
    Usage: My forty-year-old brother and his friends are still pulling juvenile pranks on each other.
  9. DILEMMA (Noun)
    Meaning: a situation in which a difficult choice has to be made between two or more alternatives.
    Synonym: quandary, predicament.
    Antonym: benefit, a boon.
    Usage: Our teacher presented us with a dilemma when he shared that we could choose where to take our yearly field trip.
  10. DROVES (Noun)
    Meaning: a herd or flock of animals being driven in a body.
    Synonym: herd, flock, pack, fold.
    Antonym: trickles.
    Usage: The Medical Board will be back in droves tomorrow, he informed her.
