    Meaning: flying or moving about rapidly
    Synonyms: floating, soaring
    Antonyms: slow, grounded
    Example: The volitant helicopter flew around the area rapidly in search of the missing toddler.
  2. SCALDING (Adjective)
    Meaning: If a liquid is scalding, it is extremely hot
    Synonyms: blazing, blistering

    Meaning: something causing misery or death.

    Usage: Some people believe that technology is the bane of social interaction and that eventually no one will have to speak to another person face to face.
  10. VITIATE (Verb)
    Meaning: to reduce the value, or effectiveness of something.
    Synonyms: annihilate, negate, quash
    Antonyms: allow, permit
    Usage: While some public servants are found to be corrupt, it is impossible to vitiate the integrity of the majority of law enforcement officers by offering them a bribe.
