EVANGELIZE (noun) : धर्मोपदेश देना : to try to convert (a group or area) to a different religion (especially Christianity).

Synonym: lecture, platitudinize, preach, preachify, sermonize

Antonym: deconvert, dissuade, endure, hold, idle, keep

Example:The missionaries set out to evangelize the world.

 

ABDICATE (Verb) : सत्ता त्यागना : (of a monarch) renounce one’s throne.

Synonyms: resign, retire

Antonym: appropriate, assume, disclaim

Example: Because the mother chose to abdicate her role as a parent, her children have become the terrors of the neighborhood.

 

EMBELLISH (verb) : संवारना : to make something sound or look better or more acceptable than it is in reality

Synonyms: adorn, deck

Antonyms: lessen, reduce

Example: Grandma likes to embellish her knitting by hiding secret messages in the pattern.

 

FARRAGO (noun) : गड़बड़ होना : a confused mixture.

Synonyms: mishmash, jumble, hodgepodge, turmoil.

Antonyms: constituent, ravel, sequence, categorization.

Example: The present gun law is a farrago of nonsense as most of it is unenforceable.

 

TITTER (verb)दबी हुई हँसी : Give a short, half-suppressed laugh, giggle

Synonym: giggle, snigger

Antonym: Graon, moan

Example : The teen girls tittered at her light-hearted curse.

 

SLIPSHOD (adjective)असावधानीपूर्ण : characterized by a lack of care, thought, or organization.

Synonym: careless, lackadaisical

Antonym: meticulous, painstaking

Example:  Ravi did a slipshod job. His scholarship is slipshod at best.

 

INCOMMODIOUS (Adjective) असुविधाजनक : Causing inconvenience or discomfort

Synonym: annoying, awkward

Antonym: convenient, comfortable

Example: Because the heating unit is not working, it is rather incommodious in the house.

 

BUOYED(verb)बढ़ावा देना : to sustain or encourage (often followed by up)

Synonyms: bolster, boost

Antonyms: depress, deplete

Example: Her courage was buoyed by the doctor’s assurances.

 

RATIFIED(verb)पुष्टि करना : confirmed or made official

Synonyms: approve, confirm

Antonyms: deny, destroy

Example: For the rule change to be approved, it must be ratified by 8 out of 10 teams.
