Meaning: having or showing an excessive pride in oneself or one’s achievements
Synonyms: smug, self-satisfied, self-congratulatory, self-regarding, gloating
Antonyms: dissatisfied, humble, modest
Usage: She was complacent about her achievements.

2. legitimate (noun, verb) – वैध, कानूनी, उचित
Pronunciation: lijiti-mut
Meaning: conforming to the law or to rules; (of a child) born of parents lawfully married to each other; (of a sovereign) having a title based on strict hereditary right; able to be defended with logic or justification; valid; make lawful or justify
Synonyms: legal, lawful, licit, legalized, authorized; rightful, lawful, genuine; valid, sound, admissible
Antonyms: illegal, illegitimate; false, fraudulent; invalid, unjustifiable
Usage:

  • Sickness is a legitimate reason for asking for leave. (noun)
  • The regime was not legitimated by popular support. (verb)

Meaning: feel contempt or an intense disgust for

4. conspicuous (adjective) – सुस्पष्ट, ध्यानाकर्षी

Meaning: clearly visible; attracting notice or attention
