Vital Changes in SBI PO Examination 2018

Dear SBI PO Aspirants,

All of you must be curious to know about the vital changes that have been made in the sphere of SBI PO Examination, this year. So, the changes are enlisted below:

SBI PO 2018 exam will have sectional timings in Prelims.
However, there will be no sectional cutoffs in Prelims.
Ratio of candidates selected for SBI PO Mains 2018 will be 1:10.

SBI PO Exam Pattern – Prelims (Phase I)

NOTE:

As negative marking (penalty) for wrong answers, marks equal to one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted.
No negative marking for unattempted questions.
No sectional cut offs.

On clearing the SBI PO Prelims, the candidates will have to crack the Mains. So, an idea of the question pattern for the same is given below:

SBI PO Exam Pattern – Mains (Phase II)

SBI PO Mains 2018 will be consist of 2 parts – Objective Test (200 marks) and Descriptive Test (50 marks). Both the parts will take place online.

Exam Pattern of the Mains Descriptive Test

The descriptive paper will be of 30 minutes duration with 50 marks assigned to the test of English Language. You will be tested on Letter Writing & Essay. You will be needed to secure passing marks to qualify the Descriptive Test, to be decided by the Bank.

NOTE: The Descriptive Test paper of only those candidates will be evaluated who have scored qualifying marks in the Objective Tests and are placed adequately high as per total marks in Objective Test.

SBI PO Exam Pattern 2018 – Group Exercise & Interview (Phase III)

Aggregate marks of candidates qualifying in both Objective and Descriptive Tests will be arranged in descending order in each category. A certain adequate number of candidates as decided by the bank, will be called for the Group Discussion and Interview.

Selection Procedure for SBI PO 2018 Exam

The selection procedure will be divided into 3 parts, consisting of 2 written papers and a third GD/Interview round. The Preliminary examination is only qualifying in nature and will not be counted towards the final total. Only those who qualify through Phase II will be eligible to attend Phase III processes.
