Amendments in SSC- CGL 2018
- SSC has introduced normalization for the first time in SSC CGL exam. According to this, if Tier I & Tier II exam is conducted in multiple shifts, the marks scored by the candidates will be normalized and such normalized scores will be treated as the final score.
- While filling up the SSC CGL Application form 2018, the candidates will not be given the option to indicate their Post Preference Order in the Priority Order Form. The preference will be taken either online or during document verification.
- In SSC CGL 2018, you will only be allowed to edit the Registration Form once. Last year i.e SSC CGL 2017, the candidates were allowed to edit the Registration Form twice which is reduced to once this time.
- In the year 2017, SSC had clearly mentioned that multiple applications by a candidate will lead to the disqualification of their candidature & they will not be allowed to appear in the exam. However, this year SSC has stated that if a candidate applies for SSC CGL more than once or multiple times then the latest application form will only be considered.
- Once the final allotment of posts is made on the basis of merit-cum-preferences of posts, no change of posts will be made by SSC due to non-fulfillment on physical/medical/educational grounds.
