Dear Aspirants,
With aspirants applying for Railway Recruitment Examination in lakhs, many candidates may fear that it is difficult to crack the examination. But everything becomes easy if one plans properly and implements the plan earnestly. Abraham Lincon, one of the most influential presidents of USA, said, “If I were given six hours to chop a tree, I would spend the first four hours sharpening the axe.”This saying suggests how a good exam preparation can bring about great changes in one’s life. The aspirants should keep in mind that the Indian Railways is the largest network in India. Consequently, the number of vacant posts is also as large as 62907.
In order to crack the Railway Recruitment Examination, one needs to know the exam pattern. The Railway Group D selection will be based on 3 stages which are as follows:
In the CBT Examination, a total number of 100 questions would be asked from Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning and General Awareness on Current Affairs. 90 minutes would be allotted to it. And the total marks would be 100.
Allotting time for each section and cracking each section is very important. Preparing for all the sections from sample papers and mock tests can be a smart way. The General Science Section may be prepared by studying the Science books of Higher Secondary. In order to crack the Arithmetic Section, the individual should be strong at Algebra sums, Trigonometry and other topics that are covered from Class VI – VIII. To clear the General Awareness Section one should be aware of the Current Affairs and go through newspapers everyday. For General Intelligence and reasoning one can subscribe to relevant sites for study materials on General Intelligence and Reasoning. However, subscribing to any good site cannot be compared to classroom studies that involve interaction between the teacher and the students.
If one qualifies the CBT, then one will be called for a Physical Efficiency Test. After qualifying in the Physical Efficiency Test, one will be called for document verification which is the final step for qualifying. If one looks for job security and an attractive pay package, the Indian Railways Examination is one of the most suitable examinations. Therefore, the need of the moment is to have a focused approach towards the examination. A great army general said, “If you shed more sweat in peace, you will have to shed less blood in a battle.” Now what is true for a battle is true for an examination too. Therefore, keep yourself fully prepared before you appear in the examination. This preparation will help you in two ways which are known as the secret way to success. First it will boost your confidence and second your confidence will help you in patiently appearing in the examination and thus gaining a well-accoladed rank in the examination.
All the Best!
